What a beautiful style and colors for this game, I almost forgot it was a horror game, which contrasts perfectly with the story. Thanks so much for making this one AugoGames, it was very pretty to play it, especially watering the plants. Remember, you are Pink too.

Thanks for giving it a play.

Hey, I like this game! Creepy and a nice pinkish art. There's some comments about not fully understanding the game because it's in English. Are you considering any translation? I've been working with translations to portuguese.

I haven't been working with translations, but I'm bilingual, so if you need help translating this to spanish, don't hesitate to call me as well.

I may be interested.  What's a good way to contact you to discuss?

I can give you my e-mail or my discord, whichever is more convenient for you.

Could you email me at games.by.augo@gmail?

Done!

ITS SO SCARY

** I didn't include any critique in my video; it is the original gameplay and commentary, edited to enhance the comedic elements of the session.  Game critique is included below.

Pink immediately stands out to the uninitiated as your everyday-ordinary pixel-art styled game with a very simplistic concept and just enough originality to rouse the senses; however, it is much more deeper than the thumbnails and even the personal descriptions lead you to believe.  I love that! I have so many questions that I don't mind leaving unanswered because that makes this adorable short-horror game more memorable. I think there is a psychological aspect to this as well as a body-horror aspect as afterwards, I couldn't help but stare at the end screen and imagine what I would do in a similar predicament. Anything unnatural growing inside my body is definitely something I rarely want to think about. I still haven't figured out what the significance is behind the everything-is-a-shade-of-pink palette but I am surprised at how the color choice, art style and even the appearance of an unassuming female protagonist put me at ease which made the ending all the more impressive. Admittedly, I'm a little disappointed in myself as I was seriously doubting just how effective a game like this could be when I should have learned from my days of playing Undertale...

All-in-all, great work!

** Question: how long did it take you to think of the concept behind the game or was it several little thoughts and ideas over a period of time that you were finally able to put together to create this project and what was your inspiration?

I appreciate the critique.  I originally planned to share this game with just my personal friends, and I only made it available publicly on a whim.  I've been pleasantly surprised by the positive reception.

I came up with the idea for Pink after I cleaned some upsetting-looking pink gunk out of a wet saw filter.  That got me mulling over how I could make the color pink scary.  I had a rough idea for the plot floating around in my head for a few months.  When I decided I wanted to make a short game for my first project, this story felt like a good choice.

I played on my channel It was creepy. I really like how it gets you thinking (:

Thank you for playing it.  I enjoyed your commentary.

Nice creepy rpg game, haven't played a game like this in a while. I included it in my 3 Random Horror Game video:

Thanks for giving it a look.

This game was a great little bit of creepy rpg horror at its finest

Thank you.  I'm happy to see you had your snacks while playing it.

Very nice game. Keep up the good work!

Thank you!

Thoughts:

My very first thought is I really like how this story unfolds. Yea it's more of a narrative then a game but still is a nice play through. I'm left with so many questions. This was really good.

I'm glad you liked it.  I definitely plan on returning to horror and making a more in-depth game when I have more experience under my belt.

I'll follow then can't wait to see what's to come

My gosh! I've played your game for the last few days. And I’m a big fun of the “Pink”, wow wow! Thats really amazing! Good job ;)

I like a visual part of this game, I like a meaning of the “Pink”. Also soundtracks are atmosphere. (about OST’s: is it possible to listen to them anywhere else? thanks in advance for answering!)

I'm happy that you enjoyed it.  I created all the visuals myself, but the sound effects and background music were made with free-use resources, though I did edit them a bit.  I've linked the original background music tracks here:

Creepy Bell Music

Dark Pulsing Drone

WOW, thats really cool! Thank you so much! :3

Ngl I love the ending. The visual are so cute and neat because I like pink <3

Working with the limited pink palette was one of my favorite parts of making this game.

At first I didn't know what was happening... and by the end of the game... I think I got it. A seed falls onto the girls head and messes with her thinking. She become part of her collection of plants? lol. Did she cut herself open or did the seed just... sprout out of her head at the end?

Thanks for playing.  Were you streaming this?

I have my own "canon" idea for what exactly happened, but I wanted to leave the game open ended so that everyone could have their own interpretation.

What a pleasant surprise! I love cute games with a dark twist. But while the number of these types of games is growing, there still isn’t enough, so this fills the void nicely. I love how she doesn’t think anything is amiss; she just goes about her day while, as the player, we’re waiting for something to go horribly wrong. I didn’t read the setup before playing, so I didn’t catch on to the backstory until I was playing, but it just goes to show how four walls can paint a completely different picture, opposed to as what’s really going on in the outside world. Extremely enjoyable, and highly recommended!

I'm glad you liked it.  I loved hearing your commentary!

Hello, I played this game and I really liked it, the story reminded me of another indie game but I liked this pixelated style in this one, neat game, good work :)
