Absolutely lovely game! Who doesn't love a pink palette?!

This game is pretty cool, good job coding this all on your own-

Superb.

Thanks for giving it a play.

eu amei este jogo!

Perfeito! Amei a historia tudo!

Lol

I really enjoyed this! There was just something so creepy right from the start. You gave me chills! I wish there were more of this on here. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!

Thank you.  I'm glad you liked it.

I liked it, when I finally got used to the house the game was over, it was a shame t.t

Looking forward to more :)
You are very good!

I'm glad you liked it.  I will absolutely be making longer horror games once I have some more experience under my belt.

This game did an excellent job of portraying a slow decline into madness. From the muted color scheme to the slightly disturbing music, this game slowly reeled me into a really creepy mindset. This was very well made!

Thank you.  I enjoyed your playthrough.  You got some genuine laughs out of me.

Awesome! Would be cool if u made more games like this!

Thank you!  I promised my friends I'd make something more "wholesome" for my next game, but I absolutely will be making more horror games.

I could really get the sense of the insanity that was taking place. I enjoyed the visuals and the atmospheric sense of dread. Great job!

Thank you.  I had a lot of fun creating the pixel art for this game.

i loved this!!

I'm glad that you liked it.

PINK

Creepy game. Love how eerie it was. It left me with a lot of questions.. lol.

Thanks for giving it a play.  I've enjoyed seeing everyone's theories for this little game.

its a pretty good horror game it has a very creepy atmosphere with the plants going all crazy and stuff overall i genuinely love the game my concern is that it does not have a clear ending. because everything just black out and with some sounds with End as the last quote

I appreciate the feedback.  I wanted to keep things simple for my first game, but I have plans for more fleshed-out horror stories in the future.

Pink is one of those pixel horror games that is totally subtle yet insidious. Its a game that I find is really living up to the horror when the 'mysteries' are finally revealed leaving you in awe of what the heck was happening up until then. Definitely would like to see a longer game in this genre from the dev!

I'm glad that you liked it.  I promised my friends that my next project would be more "wholesome", but I'll absolutely be returning to horror in the future.

Pros and cons are down below (likes and subs are highly appreciated)) Check out my gameplay here:

Advantages:

1. This game is soo creepy! A very good horror experience. I liked to see how the story was slowly unraveled. Great pacing! I especially liked that you've created a very spooky game without using cheap jumpscares or having everything take place in the dark.

2. I guess if you have coded the game from ground up, it means that you've created your original models for everything? If that's it then it's impressive. I absolutely liked the apartment and the main character!

3. PINK!

Disadvantages:

It felt a bit anticlimactic seeing the screen of darkness in the end. Maybe it would be cool to add an art piece (like in FNAF after you die, you get to look at yourself stuffed in an animatronic). Here it would be nice after hearing all these awful sounds to stare at the screen where this girl is transformed. I think that would be a nice addition.

Overall:

This game definitely deserves the highest rating possible! 5/5 stars! I think was creepy, cool, and, of course, pink!)

Hope my feedback was useful!

Thank you.  I appreciate the feedback.

Love the chill yet unnerving feeling you get from this game

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

What a beautiful style and colors for this game, I almost forgot it was a horror game, which contrasts perfectly with the story. Thanks so much for making this one AugoGames, it was very pretty to play it, especially watering the plants. Remember, you are Pink too.

Thanks for giving it a play.

Hey, I like this game! Creepy and a nice pinkish art. There's some comments about not fully understanding the game because it's in English. Are you considering any translation? I've been working with translations to portuguese.

(+1)

I haven't been working with translations, but I'm bilingual, so if you need help translating this to spanish, don't hesitate to call me as well.

I may be interested.  What's a good way to contact you to discuss?

I can give you my e-mail or my discord, whichever is more convenient for you.

Could you email me at games.by.augo@gmail?

Done!

ITS SO SCARY

** I didn't include any critique in my video; it is the original gameplay and commentary, edited to enhance the comedic elements of the session.  Game critique is included below.

Pink immediately stands out to the uninitiated as your everyday-ordinary pixel-art styled game with a very simplistic concept and just enough originality to rouse the senses; however, it is much more deeper than the thumbnails and even the personal descriptions lead you to believe.  I love that! I have so many questions that I don't mind leaving unanswered because that makes this adorable short-horror game more memorable. I think there is a psychological aspect to this as well as a body-horror aspect as afterwards, I couldn't help but stare at the end screen and imagine what I would do in a similar predicament. Anything unnatural growing inside my body is definitely something I rarely want to think about. I still haven't figured out what the significance is behind the everything-is-a-shade-of-pink palette but I am surprised at how the color choice, art style and even the appearance of an unassuming female protagonist put me at ease which made the ending all the more impressive. Admittedly, I'm a little disappointed in myself as I was seriously doubting just how effective a game like this could be when I should have learned from my days of playing Undertale...

All-in-all, great work!

** Question: how long did it take you to think of the concept behind the game or was it several little thoughts and ideas over a period of time that you were finally able to put together to create this project and what was your inspiration?

I appreciate the critique.  I originally planned to share this game with just my personal friends, and I only made it available publicly on a whim.  I've been pleasantly surprised by the positive reception.

I came up with the idea for Pink after I cleaned some upsetting-looking pink gunk out of a wet saw filter.  That got me mulling over how I could make the color pink scary.  I had a rough idea for the plot floating around in my head for a few months.  When I decided I wanted to make a short game for my first project, this story felt like a good choice.

I played on my channel It was creepy. I really like how it gets you thinking (:

Thank you for playing it.  I enjoyed your commentary.

Nice creepy rpg game, haven't played a game like this in a while. I included it in my 3 Random Horror Game video:

Thanks for giving it a look.

This game was a great little bit of creepy rpg horror at its finest

Thank you.  I'm happy to see you had your snacks while playing it.

Very nice game. Keep up the good work!

Thank you!

Thoughts:

My very first thought is I really like how this story unfolds. Yea it's more of a narrative then a game but still is a nice play through. I'm left with so many questions. This was really good.

I'm glad you liked it.  I definitely plan on returning to horror and making a more in-depth game when I have more experience under my belt.

I'll follow then can't wait to see what's to come

My gosh! I've played your game for the last few days. And I’m a big fun of the “Pink”, wow wow! Thats really amazing! Good job ;)

I like a visual part of this game, I like a meaning of the “Pink”. Also soundtracks are atmosphere. (about OST’s: is it possible to listen to them anywhere else? thanks in advance for answering!)

I'm happy that you enjoyed it.  I created all the visuals myself, but the sound effects and background music were made with free-use resources, though I did edit them a bit.  I've linked the original background music tracks here:

Creepy Bell Music

Dark Pulsing Drone

WOW, thats really cool! Thank you so much! :3

Ngl I love the ending. The visual are so cute and neat because I like pink <3

(+1)

Working with the limited pink palette was one of my favorite parts of making this game.

At first I didn't know what was happening... and by the end of the game... I think I got it. A seed falls onto the girls head and messes with her thinking. She become part of her collection of plants? lol. Did she cut herself open or did the seed just... sprout out of her head at the end?

(+1)

Thanks for playing.  Were you streaming this?

I have my own "canon" idea for what exactly happened, but I wanted to leave the game open ended so that everyone could have their own interpretation.

What a pleasant surprise! I love cute games with a dark twist. But while the number of these types of games is growing, there still isn’t enough, so this fills the void nicely. I love how she doesn’t think anything is amiss; she just goes about her day while, as the player, we’re waiting for something to go horribly wrong. I didn’t read the setup before playing, so I didn’t catch on to the backstory until I was playing, but it just goes to show how four walls can paint a completely different picture, opposed to as what’s really going on in the outside world. Extremely enjoyable, and highly recommended!

I'm glad you liked it.  I loved hearing your commentary!

cuales son los controles para interactuar?

Thank you!  I had a lot of fun making the pixel art.

Hello, I played this game and I really liked it, the story reminded me of another indie game but I liked this pixelated style in this one, neat game, good work :)

Thank you.  I appreciate that you recorded your playthrough.  It's interesting to see how people approached the game.
